Who you are contracting with

Vehicles are supplied and insured by our licensed partner operator; LARP arranges your booking and delivery. Your rental agreement for the vehicle itself is with that operator, and their terms apply to the use of the vehicle. LARP Car Rental is responsible for arranging your booking, confirming the price and coordinating delivery and collection.

Who can rent

Drivers must be at least 21 years old for standard vehicles and at least 25 for luxury vehicles and supercars. UAE residents must hold a valid Emirates ID and a UAE driving licence held for at least one year. Visitors must hold a passport with a valid entry stamp or visa, a valid driving licence from their home country and, unless their nationality is exempt under the current RTA rules, an international driving permit.

Only drivers named on the rental agreement may drive the vehicle. Allowing an unnamed person to drive voids the insurance in full and makes you liable for any loss.

Booking, payment and deposit

A booking is confirmed when we confirm it to you in writing and the security deposit has been authorised. The deposit is held against a credit card in the name of the named driver. It is an authorisation hold, not a charge, and is released after the vehicle is returned and any tolls, fines or damage have been settled — normally within 14 to 30 days, because traffic fines can take that long to be issued.

What the rate includes

The quoted daily, weekly or monthly rate includes:

• Comprehensive insurance, subject to the excess stated for your vehicle
• Delivery and collection anywhere within Dubai
• A mileage allowance of 250 km per day
• Support by telephone and WhatsApp for the duration of the rental

It does not include fuel, Salik road tolls, traffic or parking fines, or additional mileage.

Mileage, fuel and tolls

The allowance is 250 km per rental day, pooled across the rental. Additional kilometres are charged at the per-kilometre rate stated for your vehicle. Fuel is same-to-same: the vehicle is supplied at a recorded fuel level and must be returned at that level, or the difference is charged at cost. Salik tolls are charged at cost. Traffic and parking fines are charged at cost together with an administration fee, which is stated to you before you book.

Insurance and liability

Each vehicle carries comprehensive insurance with an excess that varies by vehicle. In the event of damage you are liable for up to the excess, provided the incident is reported to us immediately and a police report is obtained. In the UAE, insurers will not settle a claim without a police report.

Cover is void, and you become liable in full, where the vehicle is:

• driven off road, raced, or used on a track
• driven by a person not named on the rental agreement
• driven under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• taken outside the United Arab Emirates without our prior written consent
• used for any unlawful purpose, or to carry passengers or goods for hire or reward

Cancellation and changes

You may cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the agreed delivery time. Within 48 hours, the deposit is forfeited. We will always try to move a booking to different dates instead, subject to the vehicle being available.

If a vehicle becomes unavailable through no fault of yours, we will offer an equivalent or better vehicle, or a full refund of anything you have paid.

Delivery and collection

Delivery and collection within Dubai are included. Deliveries to other emirates are quoted separately. At hand-over we record the condition of the vehicle and its fuel level with you; the same check is carried out on collection.

We collect only what is needed to arrange your rental, and we share it with the operating partner for that purpose. See our privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction.
